Anyone know of a public access to gold pan where there is some gold?

Hi Harleyman 2,
The Ouachita National Forest is public lands and is open to recreational prospecting. Check with the district ranger for any rules or regulations. Placer gold is spread accross a wide area in the state and should afford a good chance of finding color. This information comes from the GPAA claims guide. Good luck.
