I was walking across a soccer field in Sacramento with my turned off metal detector in hand. I was on my way to hunt a tot lot when something glittering in the grass caught my eye. I looked down and pulled out this 18K gold chain with a jade Buddha encased in a 18K bezel! It was just laying there on top of the grass! Pretty good for an eyeball find! total weight is 29 grams!

18 k almost 1 oz ( 29 grams)-- so about 3/4 oz of pure gold (about $1000 bucks or so ) + gray jade "happy buddha" = 1 sad former owner .
