As a forementioned post recently about some supposed "gold",specimens being posted that appear to be Pyrite...I fooled around with some "rocks",I had laying around the yard.......and
the bank....every other pic is Pyrite for those wondering...pretty evident even in poor lighting which ones are gold huh?

I told that guy it looked liked peacock pyrite, at least thats what I call it, and he said looks can be decieving. He thought it was worth 80,000 plus. If thats the case, I have enough on my desk for a new Ferrari plus maint:laughing7:

Hey, OBD - did you happen to see the "What to do with Black Sands" thread under Prospecting Forum? A post from Specks and Flecks contains info on
blacks sands from Oroville. Guess what? 19.94 ozs/ton of gold and 27.45 ozs/ton of platinum - by far the highest in the state,as far as I can tell. FYI

Really that's kind of over my head but I will look into it . I meant to post on that thread earlier I think Kevin had the best idea there. I'll take the side business of picking up from the clubs from Oregon border to maybe S.F. And taking it to whatever refinery.
