hi all i just got a whites Quantum 2 i traded a $80 knife i had for it now am trying to learn it. am so use to my mxt that am having a little trouble with it what is the best way to set it to hunt with it. what is the best mode to have it in and about how deep will it detect a coin. thanks

Hey Bob, do you have a manual? If not you can print one from the white's website, in my opinion its a quirky but good machine. I bought the qxt chip from whites which allowed me to assign high tones to whatever targets i was looking for, made the machine much more effective for me. Can't comment on depth, and the menu took me a while to somewhat learn, Jhar

I'd see if White's could upgrade it to the QXT. The biggest difference is stability. The depth the QXT gets in prospecting or mixed mode is amazing.
