Question about the PI

Will the Pi's false when it get windy, if they are not in the water? I had some problems with my Sand Shark....when I was facing the wind it falsed a bit; and when I turned, it did well again....

Never had an issue with wind falsing on my PI. Maybe related to wind blowing black sand but I wouldn't think even that would effect the PI unless there were tiny bits of iron being blown around also. Strange things happen though.

My Sand Shark does the same thing. It's pretty easy to tell the short false blips from a real signal, especially if you hunt in VCO mode. In VCO, the false signals' pitch stays constant, but a target signal increases in volume and pitch.

No it does not false during wind, unless of course the wind is blowing the salty sand across the coil heavily. But I've never had it happen.
