Here's the problem.

We have one gopher and several moles that are digging in our lawn.

Here's the question.

How can I get rid of them without poisoning them or harming them in any way? Is this possible? As it is, my cat has killed several moles but he can't keep up with them.

Any humane advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can go to the Nursery in your town and ask for a CASTOR PLANT or commonly known as a MOLE BEAN PLANT....Plant it in your yard and NO MORE TROUBLE WITH THE MOLES.

Oh one more question. Our lawn is an acre, how much would we need to plant and where?

If you know where the holes are located, maybe you can put a non-lethal trap over the holes and then smoke them out with smoke bombs placed into one or more of the holes?

Bran is right. My neighbor has a small trap he puts by the holes and catches chipmunks in without killing them. Only problem is he puts the trap in the sun so the animals will perish. My wife and I check the trap and when we find one in it we take it in the woods and let it go. He knows we do it and now just laughs at us when he finds the traps sprung and empty-all in good fun though.

Only problem is he puts the trap in the sun so the animals will perish.

Wow, talk about a long, slow agonizing death. How cruel.

I've heard that putting moth balls down the hole will get rid of them. Good Luck.

Over here I use a sonic device, it has cleared the moles completely. I don't know if it works on other critters I will find out for you fp.

Castor beans ARE poisonous and so is the plant. But it works, just supervise your kids and cats. Bob

So the Castor bean is poisonous to the moles too. That's what I'm trying to avoid. I don't want to make them sick or kill them, I would just like them to move out.

Treat your yard for their main food source , grubs , that are also detrimental to your lawn .

White subsoil worm that can reach the size of two joints of your pinkie finger . Feeds on grass roots and other plant roots . Prime mole food , great fishing bait , high enough in protein to
be a viable survival food for humans .

OMG Ive seen those while digging in the garden. They are really fat and white and curled. Disgusting looking too. No wonder the birds hang around when I'm digging, I throw those out in the yard when I run across them.
