If the pin on this earring is marked 14K, would that also apply for the earring itself?

I am really going to be disappointed in the few that I have if it is not. I am pretty sure that it is the hallmark for the entire piece.

i had a 14k earring and when my gold guy was testing all my pieces he tested the earring and it was plated...but the pin tested good.......he wasnt trying to cheat me out of it either....he didnt buy it......hopefully this doesnt apply to all earrings but that one in particular just had a gold pin

Hate to tell you guys this but.... I lot of people are allergic to cheap metals so they make the pin out of gold but the rest could be anything. It doesn't mean that your's is not all gold but I do know for a fact that this is the way some of them are made. I had to get this type myself. 8)

Mumszie is right about the pin, but sometimes the rest of the earring is good too.
