Question on reference material

I'm thinking of starting a arrowhead/stone tool collection. I like the Alabama chert examples since I'm from that area.

Can anyone recommend a reference that might get me started on learning what I need to know?

Alabama has a wide variety of stuff. It has the coastal cherts and further north has the fort payne,buffalo river and hornstone.They has lots of water to travel in Alabama. Great materials and many more types. If you went to Overstreets book and looked at the section that covers Alabama I think its the eatern central it will give you a good idea of types found in your area of interest.
