Today Dan and I decided to hit the vacant lot behind the Funeral home that we have been given permission to hunt. We were only able to
hunt for about 1/2 hr. as it really started to rain on us. But before the rain came, I was able to come up with these nice finds (at least nice in my book).
There is a long but narrow walkway at the back of the property and all these came from with in a foot of the edge of it. The rose pin was so covered
in dirt I didn't know what it was until I got home and washed it up,that was when I saw the stone in the center, seems to be copper that may have had gold plating at one time. Thimble and door handle plaque where just a few feet away.
The lock is brass and says US on one side and Waterbury on the other, I believe the lock was made in the 40's or 50'.
Dan had an interesting find today also, an old press, didn't realize the tag was still on it until he was going to take the picture to post in the
What's It forum. I guess we don't have to now.
All in all it was a fun 1/2hr. Hope you enjoy the pics.
