quick eyeball hunt in the rain

Hey guys, I went out for a quick hunt in the rain earlier but decided to leave the detector at home... she doesn't like to get wet lol. I brought my new go pro and attached it to my digger, but don't know how to edit yet, but as soon as I figure it out I will post so you guys can see where I was hunting. This is the same place where I found the Indian head pennies and barber dimes while detecting. There is a lot of spots in this area where there is no grass so it is a lot of fun to just go eyeballing stuff after a good rain. I'm still not certain what use to be there but I was told it was a very old fairgrounds. My totals for the day were 6 marbles, 2 porcelain buttons, 1 1918 wheatie, and a porcelain doll leg.

It's always good to slow down and take the time to find the things that a detector can't find. It's just as fun to me. Plus I wanted to start trying to learn my camera and how to edit... just wish I knew how to date marbles. Two of them are clay.

Ha, I tried taking the detector out today. When I hit my spot and cut the first plug, the hole filled to the brim with water. Gave it up, went home, took a shower and went to the movies. Nice finds. Marbles are always a good find!

Thanks guys, haha yeah the only leg I'm getting today lol. It is pretty relaxing, it's my escape from the real world I guess you can say. I'm getting another at pro here soon hopefully so that I can hunt in the rain.

I've got the video edited now by the way but the sound is horrible because I have the waterproof case on it. I have to wear headphones just to hear myself in the video.

Whenever I'm out without detector, I scan the ground. That's how I eyeballed my 1923 Peace silver dollar in old field that we'd already detected several times. Then a couple years later eyeballed Yoda & a Storm Trooper in the middle of town! The Star Wars' guys are heavy fake-gold key chains, found when I spotted tiny bit of chain peeking out of leaves, lol.
