Was at a park the other day and dug several rusty bottle caps, Came in in coin range in ID numbers and high tone. Any way to tell the difference?
 
Raise the coil above them and watch the TID drop like a stone.

You cant. It's only when you raise the coil. that you see the TID drop into lower numbers. it's one of the reasons why I don't use my Racer 2 as much. Now with the Impact, you can switch to Gen(D) and tell it's a steel bottle cap.
