I went out this morning to the closest park near my house and it HAS been good to me over the years.
Out with my 2nd detector, a White's IDX and 4X6 shooter coil, I hit the play areas, and right off the bat get a quarter. More clad coins and then getting a nickel signal, I was more than smiling after I see the glint of a nice gold ring, come out of the wood chips. My 10th ring so far this year.
After a few more clad coins, I hit the grass area to try and pick up some older coins.
Got a couple of clad coins then the next dime signal I was nicely suprised to see a clean silver one pop out. A 1960 Rosy!!!! A couple more clad coins and the rain started again. An hours hunt......I guess it wasn't too bad.
In the mix I dug today were a few late 1970's coins and also a 1953 nickel.
