+ 1 if you read that first line in kyp's voice in your head.

also dig the riffle hose holder, fits perfectly in the kitty litter box, there is a couple nubs that hold it in place on the bottom!

Make do with what you have. Great ideas p70. Looks like its working just fine. Sanford and son would be proud.

Jack stand... lol

That jack stand is doing exactly what it was designed for, Holding something in place so it doesnt come crashing down to the ground and causing more money in damages.

love it when the gold refuses to proceed any further than the aluminum... :)

Ach, notice they changed the amp hour from 14 to 16.
3700 GPH Bilge pump compared to the blue bowl 750 GPH

I have a line on some 4700 gph bilge pumps but they want way too much for them.

prospector 70, where do you get your 3700 gph pumps?
thanks.

Amazon, search for 3700 GPH.
I did find a line on a 4700 GPH pump for just a few bucks more.
I was going to buy a few of them for a project, but after many maths and scienceing coupled with some study and advice from TNetters I have decided to change direction on my thinking and go with something with way more PSI and HEAD.
Like a 12 volt marine utility pump(s), or something similar. They are around the same price as the bilge pumps, just looking for the right one(s). I may couple them together but only if the other way doesn't work as Math tells me it will.

You could easily make a higbanker with multiples of the bilge pumps though. Take a lot of battery though. The 3700's are 16 amp. (Yikes!)

Well...

Finally got out today. Worked a nice area just downstream of some heavy equipment in the river. Didn't do too bad for a couple hours. I'll post a pic when I get it sorted.

Been too long since I was out!

Got it sorted yet?

Got it sorted yet?
No! :(

I've been swamped with work and hockey, every time I walk past the 5 gallon bucket in the garage I'm picking at it with tweezers looking for a small bead that went in there, it's either brass or gold or something lol. I'm dying to get a closer look at it.
*No Jinx No Jinx No Jinx* *Spit*
I should have a little time to work it tonight, I'm trying to make it so I can go out somewhere tomorrow and beat the chilly weather coming in Sunday and Monday. / *No Jinx*.

I'm not done yet! :)

Sorry I've been away so long, holy crap I need to dig.

<3

We've all missed you P70, great to hear from you again!

Want to make plans to meet up? How about Sunday Aug 9?

Sounds good Kevin, my boy has a hockey game im sure that weekend just not sure what day or time. I'll look at the schedule and let you know asap!

Welly well well well.

I finally made it up past tunnel 1 on clear creek (the ten mile stretch) last weekend with my boy.
A couple of weekends and found some good spots to sluice with lots of gravel and whatnot.
Gold is few and far between here, I was kind of disappointed that I could find more gold in a day in the Platte.
Beautiful country up there, but it seems to be worked out (or the gold is locked into the fast deep spots you can't get to without a dredge and balls of steel).

I met some nice people, I am terrible with names but there was a keene highbanker, a gold hog highbanker, LeTrap sluicer, and finally a nice guy from out of state with a custom built gold hog matted sluice. Everyone was very nice and accommodating of new arrivals "Set up anywhere you like, nice to meet you". Prospectors are real people, god bless 'em.

After running for a couple hours I had a massive punk dam in front of a giant hole. Everyone marveled at the simplicity of the BGT and they had lots of questions which I happily answered.
Went a second time to a more remote spot and dug all day, the boy helped a ton but ended up shooting rocks out of the tailing pile with his new slingshot :).

Saw some ultra fine going in the sluice, have about a couple of gallons of cons to work. Confidence is not high however as I don't think I got much.
I did however find a st. mary pendant made out of sterling silver about two feet down in the cobble.

If you haven't been up in a while they are doing the usual "destroy the river for a footpath", like they are doing all along the platte river in denver. sickening.
