So today I decided I was going to start flooring the attic. Well? All it has for access is a pull down set of steps(Ladder) for now. The 4x8 sheet of wood was too heavy for me since I'm a weakling right now. I got soft!!! I cut it in half.......Then it wouldn't fit through the hole. Guess I should have checked that first. So, Now I have to cut all the wood down to 32inches by 4ft. My big plan turned into a hacked up, patchwork floor.
Ok, Just had to tell someone!!! That my OCD is going to drive me crazy knowing that my storage floor, that no one sees "isn't right".![]()
Not the same thing, but kind of....in a house I lived in before, a small place, I bought a new couch, carefully measured the couch and carefully measured the door frame. Bought the couch, brought it home, a friend and I unloaded the couch, carried it to the porch (VERY heavy recliner vibrating type of couch) well......somehow ended up with too much couch, not enough door. Being of a somewhat stubborn nature, I did not want to pay a $100 re-stocking fee, so...out to the detached garage. Now I had wanted to have the two kitchen windows replaced, so bumped that project up, window out, couch goes in, new window installed, done. Couch is now "sealed" within the house. Few years later, sold the house, moved everything out, EXCEPT that monster couch. Amazing what can be done with a hammer and crow bar. Pieces of couch on the way to the dump.
