What do you guys think about these markings? Found in N.W. Arkansas in Marion county by crooked creek. Not entirely sure if they're natural or glyphs/rune like markings.

They are awful busy to be communicating a message.
They do resemble building bricks seen in the 1900's (into the mid seventies at least) that had for whatever reason , branches from cedar type trees pressed into them.
Part of drying bricks maybe before firing them. (?) If fired after drying. Maybe it kept the raw bricks from sticking.
Some I picked at as a kid had pieces of twig embedded in them still...
Your material is hard to guess from here.
IF it is clay , human hands may have pressed it. Not saying such happened.
If you had a pottery making site there would likely be broken pieces around . As well as charcoal stains ,and hints of shells to grind , clean mineral sand , or similar for a "temper" to strengthen clay before firing.
A hill helped direct smoke flow on one known site by me.
Hard telling today what fuel may have existed on a site , but having everything needed at hand kept efficiency up. Water ,clay, fuel, ect.
