Folks,

It's nice to see businesses cut down on the waste they produce. This is a cafe in Montreal that does just that.

Will do ARC !! We run a tight ship and keep everything as well maintained as possible !! Thats a big part of my job, keeping it all in tip top shape. Ill make a half day of putting it all away and servicing the whole system. This is the first electric brownie I ever used. Seems a lot easier than the gas powered one to maintain, and I love that it is hard mounted in the boat.

Good for you Bart on the electric system ! Hey, get me a job,just kidding lol your boss seems like a great guy. After you use it,Let us know how you like it.

Nice batch of blackberries, were those from your yard of a wild patch you've got up your sleeve?

We had a wild patch of both red and black raspberries we used to pick and probably got about 12 to 15 quarts for jams and jellies but they've developed it. So we went out and bought a couple of black raspberry plants for our garden and this year should have a bumper crop in a week or 2.

Incredible cuban mahogany !! We struck gold yesterday !! 14 ft long, perfectly straight, 34 inches across !!! What a beast. Got alot of big dollar wood on this one. Its getting easier, the tree cutter said if you want this come get it, ill load it on your truck. Done deal !!

Bart, your fish pics thread doesn't seem to get the attention it used to. Bummer. Now I know the saying is, "Work smarter, not harder." But I think to draw the tnetters attention back to it, working harder might be smarter. So, 19 different new posts for you this morn!

Its alot !! 5000$ would be on the low end. Dont think I could afford to cut that off a piece of this wood !! Single live edge slab cut at 3 inches thick off this piece would start at 10,000 I might see 15,000 !! This is simply put the best stock ive ever got my hands on !! A retail lumber yard like (keim lumber) might get 20 -25 thousand !! I got the video of this beast coming down. I got to figure a way to get it posted.

This was our first permitted take down so we got to see it come down !! It was growing so close to the house that it had to go. This tree cutter has 2 more of these jobs coming up so we will work with him to get the wood saved !! Had to have a machine to make it fall where we wanted it to !!

Hey tom I do have lots of handle stock that could be easily shipped. I make knives too some times, im checking on that other thing for you too, I havnt forgot.

Well, you kind of answered the real question(s) on my mind. We took a tour of a lumber company this winter and they had slabs of "special" wood. Most still had the bark on it. At the time MR WD was considering making those pieces of furniture. The piece he was looking at was $23K! I don't remember what kind it was. It had a lot of character.

May a good idea! My best friend and me will make some fancy knifes with original Mora blades for reselling.
Do you also have some wood pieces with this blue fungus in it ?
