Na, we just gloss over some of the pics & comments.

Still reading, had to catch up on the thread.
Life gets in the way of fun sometimes.

It was a tropical 6° with wind chill of -12 this morning.
Very glad we have a wood stove, no electric, no problem.

I appricate that Bill, but my crazy phone will not let me see the video, says i can't open it in "tap a talk".

A old picture of my local school when it was first completed to replace the original two room school house that was there. I went to this school and now my kids and niece go to it. It great to have a rural school with small class sizes. Just a half hour away is a huge overcrowded elementary school that we almost would’ve had to take them to. A few years back the government was closing a pile of school like this but luckely we all put in enough of a fight to keep it open. Hope I may even have grandkids go to it someday as well! [emoji16]

kiddo,

The country/rural schools bring back memories since I grew up in the Moncton area. My oldest brother went to a one room school house in Tankville, NB which luckily got restored and is now a small country museum.

Man are we in a slump......caught nothing but trash fish today and yesterday. But ......I get to go home and see my wife and kid on the 5th. I'll fly back on the 14th for a week of diving bottles, spearfishing, and metal detecting with my bosses kids. I would be lieing if I said I wasnt looking forward to it. Man.......life is great. Plus lots of stuff going on in the treasure hunting at home. We now have a new lease box at bahia Honda.

Rural schools are a great thing. I love the two pics you put up of the tank like school. Looks awesome all restored. To many of the oldest little ones just rot or get tore down. Even some bigger schools like the one in my picture a hour or two away from me are all boarded up and the playgrounds grown in wild. Such a shame because they still look in good shape.

Im convinced...

Canadians are aliens. :P

Anything that could be in that much cold and still function has got to be from another planet.

Might as well be.

Hey... right now I am surrounded by Canucks.

Hmmm... which brings to mind... the origin of the word "Canuck".

AARC,

Yeah maybe we are aliens; it's all in the past but we did burn Washington not once but twice so play nice....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

Here's a song to cheer up you and the crew. Heart-Alone from Royal Albert Hall.

The term "Kanuck" is first recorded in 1835 as an Americanism, originally referring to Dutch Canadians or French Canadians.

AARC,

I like your research skills....it's taken in a completementary way similar to when we call someone a yank.

Another tune from Royal Albert Hall- Wish you were here.

Sucks... I was really wanting to hear that.

“Tankville school” not “tank like school”.
Dam spell check! HaHa
