It's been awhile since I've made a post other than blues music. I finished the two year restoration of this 1948 Indian Chief this spring. The mural in the background happens to be in my home town. The color is 1931 Ford Washington Blue.

A bottle dating to the 1840's that I found in the mud of an old smuggler's cove. The history of the site drew me there and when I found the bottle, just as the sun was setting, I never felt more like a time traveler than I did in that very moment. It had stayed there undisturbed for 175 years. The Civil War had not yet happened. Not a single lightbulb had yet flickered on Earth. Passenger Pigeons still clouded the sky in great flocks. The plains still teamed with millions of bison untamed. The shootout at the O.K. Corral would not happen for another 40 years. There were only 30 stars on the flag. And the newspapers of the time would have just been starting to mention the possibility of gold in California - a piece of land the US would only have just acquired from Mexico following the Mexican-American War.
