This park is still producing some very nice coins and jewelry. In one of my earlier posts I mentioned a city park that was totally dug up. Prior to this park being dug up, it was considered by most to hunted out.
I told a friend to go in and give it a try. These are a few of the coins that he found there in addition to several IH cents, tokens, Barber dimes, and wheat's.
The 1879 Seated dime had a mintage of only 15,100.

I love Seated Liberty's and this one is no exception. You did well in your choice of hunting spots. Tell your friend, Congrats!!!

Tell us about the 1845 cent? This was produced before the Indian head?

I can always count on you for an excellent post bk.

Very nice and I love those "hunted out parks." Found some of my best stuff in them.

Any time a high traffic area is scrapped or top cover removed such as asphalt, it can be a gold mine. You have to be fast though or "they" are likely to immediately resurface such an area. Monty
