I found this Breastplate while hunting a site from Grants march in northeast Louisiana. I found this beauty using my Whites DFX, this is one awesome Machine!! It was found in a soy bean field, between two rows, about 12" deep. Does anyone know the value of this plate? :help:

Wow Nice and one I never dug. should be worth about $2500.00 or a bit more

:o That is "the holy grail" for me, I would probably die of heart failure soon as I realized what I dug. Of course I'm a lifetime Buckeye. ;D Congratulations, BANNER find!!

Awesome story of your find . It was like I was there. I found mine in a plowed field, the rows were so high it was hard to walk on. You either had to walk cross ways of the rows stepping from row top to row top, or walk between rows. Either way was not easy. the plate was between the rows and 1 ft. down. I think that's why it escaped the plow blade.

Awesome find, not because I live in Ohio but that is a rare find, especially down in your neck of the woods :hello2:

I have to agree with DaytonDigger. Being a lifetime Buckeye, I'd have died finding something like that!!! Congrats on a beautiful find!!!

Wow sweet find and no damage! :wav:
