I love these guys! Went out on a 7 mile hike to check on this den that has been active for years. This guy was snoozing away! :icon_thumright:

Do you go searching for them?

I dont look for them specifically, but this den is a good indicator of when they are out. And its right next to a site with lots of neat rocks. Some electric blue Pecos Pupfish near during mating season

I noticed that you are from Roswell, NM. I'm curious, have you ever detected the area of the UFO crash. I suspect it is on private property, but was just wondering if you have...................Rich

I havent, I would like to, there are supposed to be several "debris" sites, one is on forest service land. The big one is near corona, nm. The ranchers here are very friendly and most let you on their land if you ask.

Rattlesnakes found around my home don't last too long.:censored::rolleyes:

I am a notorious snake decapitator. I love animals but I have my reasons I was nearly attacked by a silvery colored snake when I was a child and killed it out of instinct. I guess it never went away, also as previously mentioned on another post I was bit by an unknown snake. Luckily one tooth missed my toes and broke off and the other just skimmed my toe enough to stick in. They deserve respect but I don't see to many of them any more maybe they sense it's a bad idea or the eagles in the area are snacking on them.
