hey !!!! thanks for the advice. especially so quick. do the new detectors come with headphones?if not how much do they cost? do you have to have them to use it? also you all seem to positively support each other, i like that. i think i'll enjoy posting here. and thanks again for all the help. chris

Headphones are a definite advantage, they block out outside noises, plus allow the user the option of hearing those quick zips and almost silent beeps on small deep treasure.

Headphones cost vary, I've seen them as high as $200.00 and as low as $9.99. I'd suggest a modest pair of Calrad (around $39-49.00). I've had mine for a very long time and they work very well. If your dealer is local, you may be able to pursuade them into throwing in a set, along with a digger and a free hat.

Hey there Isuzu1992 I purchased an ACE 250 form kellyco detectors in florida and they were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO helpful and mine came with headphones and a v2 pinpointer free.
