Real Deal on coin counting machines

I was in the grocery store and a feller was emptying the coin counting machine (which charges you 8.9%). I immediately asked if he could answer a few questions. He was willing... this is what I learned... The machines DO reject silver coins, but some get through. He, and his coworkers DO exchange any and all silver coins with change they keep on hand. He also stated he likes finding gold and silver jewelry in the reject bin... that's a freebie. So as Paul Harvey would say, 'Now you know the rest of the story'.

The LaRue I use does not reject silver, you are right, some machines do. Now then, we don't want you to pay to use a coin counter, it should be free. For your benefit, you should find one.
