Man, I can't even tell you how happy i am to have found this site. Up until now, i thought something was wrong with me. I mean everybody i knew that had a metal detector, had either received it as a gift, or bought it on impulse. They were lucky to get used three times a year. Not me, though, I'm somewhere between addicted or obsessed (according to my wife) with metal detecting. Its all i think about. At work, in bed, spending time with the family, aall i think about is metal detecting. Darn near caused me a divorce one time. She said "you never spend time with me, your always off with that thing looking for gold". I told her," You wait a damn minute now, that "thing" has a damn name, and feelings too, and i will get rid of you before i get rid of it." Took her a little while to get over it but she's still here. THANKS AGAIN FOR A GREAT SITE.

I have been sure trying, but where i live there's not many people that do it, and the ones that do, don't take their wives for some reason. Hopefully one day i can get hooked up with some people that do take their wives, then maybe she'll be more interested in trying it,seeing other women doing it. I would love to get her hooked on it too, then i wouldn't have to go by myself.
