Wow! Good finds! The only thing that I would use is a very soft tooth brush. I wouldn't take a chance on damage.

Hi , Im new to the forum and am hoping someone may be able to give me an idea of age or origin of a couple of finds I have, I mostly detect beaches in South America and would appreciate any tips regarding cleaning items that have sea/silt corrosion without damaging them.

I am not an expert, but I did a quick google image search on a few of these and came back with some hits indicating Aztec on the jewelry. Which jives with South America. The bottom right "pendant" brought back some hits that resembled a Crusader's pendant. Although the symbol doesn't appear to have any link to Christianity that I can glean.

Hope it helps some...

Cool stuff!!!

There were no Aztecs in South America, so your answer is really no help. Aztecs were in central Mexico, and Mexico is not in South America. The crusades were well before any Europeans ever went to South America, so scratch that idea too.

Welcome to Tnet from Toronto LG.
Very interesting jewelry finds, I realy like the piece with the anchor in it.

Unfortunately, I can't help you with the age or origin of your finds, but these two pieces look very old to me.
