Recent Finds And In-Situs

A few pics from my last hunt. The best Big Sandy I've found in a long time. I kicked that mano out of the ground before getting a legit in-situ. HH

Man those are some killler finds as usual ,some real heartbreakers in there too,that big sandy takes the cake though,made from that classic WV black chert that I find alot of my longer points made out of,that one looks to be about 3 inches or so VERY NICE

Good point about the local black chert. I have also noticed that larger points and blades are made out of the black cherts in our area. The majority of 3+ " points and blades I find are typically made of black chert from WV and western Va. Thanks man, good luck to you.

They must have been able to get the black stuff in larger quanities therefore being able to turn out larger points/blades.
