Been out hunting a few times lately and haven't had time to post. 1st hunt was at a late 18th c. blockhouse that is now a field...there is also a house on the same property from the 1830s. I found the King George copper coin right inbetween the blockhouse and the actual house. It is really worn but I can make out the right facing bust and the "georgivs" along the right side. nothing on the back is visible.
Next I hunted an early 1800s house. In the front yard I got 2 mercs in one hole (1917, 1937), a 1806 Large Cent in pretty good condition and an 1807 2 reale spanish silver! It's in fairly good shape...unfortunately it was under a bunch of roots and I scratched it pretty good trying to get it out! I even told my buddy who was watching that if it was a coin it was probably going to have scratches all over it when i finally get it out! Oh well...still a cool coin to find!
Thanks for looking and happy hunting!!!
