Rechargable Batteries for Minelab...

In the Safari manual it says use only Minelab brand rechargeable batteries and charger. Are these batteries and charger somehow different vs the usual brands? Thanks

Just stay away from over-the-counter Lithium Ion rechargables. Any of the NiCad or NiMH rechargeable batteries will be fine.

I sprang for the RNB rechargeable battery pack and charger for mine. 28 hours hunting time on it's first charge, and it charges up in two hours. A thing of beauty.

Been hearing a lot of good stuff about the RNB lithium and I think most md manufacturers approve them
