Red or Yellow Earth found in gold mine?

Has anyone here working in a gold mine, ever seen red or yellow earth found in a gold mine?

Gold country is many times red soil. Never seen yellow, but gold is where you find it. I do know for a fact that lots of gold mines are in red soil.

Colored soil is a good sign for prospectors, red soil is caused by natural minerals and the more minerals in an environment good for gold (gold is a mineral).

Here in South Dakota and some other areas, yellow dirt can very often mean uranium. We call it "yellow cake". There is some beautiful red dirt in Georgia, which, strangely, occurs in the area of one of the first gold rushes - Dahlonega, Georgia. So does Virginia. I bet if you Googled around, you could find someone who would part with some.
