Someone asked for a close up of this little gem, the dark image on the face is done that way to bring out the detail of the coin, this is a really nice little treasure. I wewnt back to the same spot aas yesterday for a little while this morning, and found two more wheats in the same hole as yesterday, just hunted in a different pattern, I tell you all this system will find more coins, try it and see.

I found one of those at an early 1800's site a few years ago, first thought I had a super old coin or token, only to find out it was a modern BB gun token ....still neat, but about 150 years too new :tongue3:

I found one of those in the back yard of our house in Helena ,Montana in about 1970 or 71. It was just lying in the dirt , this was way before i got into detecting. In those days I can just imagine the finds in that old historic mining town for that early generation of metal detectorists !
