Is that old building a rr station? Is it Santa Fe? Union Pacific? Very nice spot to go walking... Is it abandoned? I love walking abandoned rails... I love to just close my eyes and see the steam rising in the air.. the pounding of steel wheels on steel rails... the shrill cry of the lonsome whistle... So much history and relics of the past days of Steam locomotives... wish I could have lived back then... there's just something about Steam Locomotives that gets me excited and puts me in a state of awe and wonder... a Southern Ry. worker put it perfectly when he said, "There's a feeling that comes from a steam locomotive that you never get over once you've worked with them; You get the feeling their a living thing." That is a classic picture of the past.. put a steam engine there and take a B&W photo.. You'd think it was taken in the 1930's -1940's... Very nice. Hard to find spots like that. I'd take full advantage of a spot like that and try to picture what it must have been like in the 1920's... Amazing... simply amazing.. to look back into America's past... Very nice.

Wow... looks like a picture from the past! What a great spot of surviving rr history! Just think of how that place must have looked in it's Glory Days.. with all the station agents talking to passengers and train crew... the porter putting suitcases on the baggage car... the engineer oiling the locomotive running gear... and of course the steam locomotives waiting to begin the journey... that spot is priceless... love it.

Looks like the site has some older history, and a good area to metal detect. Good Luck!
