Last week on my pickups, I saw a new teller(pretty girl) at my main pickup branch, she was asking me about the halves(4 boxes) etc, I tried to keep it lowkey and just say about error coins and mis-strikes etc... nothing about silver...

Well the next day I got to a new branch which I just ordered from, and there is this pretty girl again!?!?! I was talking with her while they went to get my order, and she says she works within a certain region, and goes wherever branch they need her... She said jokingly(although pretty truthfully IMHO) about seeing me around at other branches as well...

Im maybe a little worried she will see me at other branches, and mention to others how im buying halves from nearly every branch within 20 miles? Any real cause for concern with that?

I dont really know what else to do but keep moving forward, be polite, and not give much away

Hahah that is good Ad! literally :laughing7:

Yeah im sure some crazyness like that will happen to me as well...

Ah alright, my bad...

I wasnt sure what group you were referring too... haha... maybe you dont know the backround to my name :P I get a little touchy at the paranoid(I call it aware) word :)

Nothing wrong with being prepared, playing out scenario, see if it could be trouble down the road...

peace

i have a branch manager that has been promoted and been in five of the branches that i have picked up at she is great and usually sets me up with the vault teller like i am a VIP of the bank and they need to take care of me. as long as you keep on this persons good side i say it will help you. just my thoughts

I would be concerned about the phone calls to the other branches. Account information is supposed to be confidential and this manager may need a reminder of that.

When a Vault Teller at another branch of BOA told me she had called and told him that they were having trouble with my rolls being short I was really mad because I make sure every roll is right on and even take out any funny money even Canadian, I have a Cigar box full of it. The vault teller told me that he never had a problem with any of my rolls, that they were "always right on," and that he would still take them from me. I was mad as could be so I went to talk to the Bank's top official which turned out to be her which got me no where (I was mad but nice). She said the other VT had misunderstood what she had said was that BOA was losing money because of short rolls, not that mine were. When I told her that I didn't want her calling other Banks about my account, She basically told me that she would do whatever she wanted to do, She was doing her job saving BOA money. She was on a Crusade and after when the other bank that stopped taking my rolls pulled up my account there must have been some kind of note on my account because the Teller mentioned her and her bank when they said they wouldn't take my rolls that day. I thought I was done at BOA and would have to switch accounts but I just kept everything low for a month or two and it blew over. I didn't try to complain about her, figured I would just hear "She's a Manager doing her job" or "Yes that is Bank policy," and even when I told her I didn't want her talking to other banks about my account she just smugly said She would do whatever She wanted to do to do her job. I don't go to her branch anymore and She has left me and my account alone since.

I am not understanding something here. Are some people upset that one branch is communicating to another branch of the same bank about your accounts? I don't understand why. The individual branches are not individual business entities. They have an obligation to communicate back and forth. Now from one bank (BoA) to another bank (TD) would be wrong, but from one branch to another inside the same company is not.

What I was talking about was branch to branch of BOA and I assumed Skee knew that. I was not too happy about her calling the other branches though because she clearly made it sound like I was passing short rolls from what Keith, the other branches VT told me. She said she was sorry that Keith misunderstood her but I still think, with no proof, that was her intention. She was calling other branches, telling them that I was passing short rolls, and that they should not take my rolled coins anymore. She has the right to call the other BOA branches about my account but not to lie about me. She was high enough up the ladder and held all the cards so that I was glad to just get out of her office without causing myself any more damage than had already been done. The teller from her bank who saw me giving the other branch's Teller the box of candy was on vacation and right behind me in line. I didn't see her so I didn't saw hi but my wife told me she was there after we got out of the bank. She is working at Keith's branch now and has been real nice about taking my rolled coins there and I bought 3 boxes of candy this weekend.

You are probably right. I was assuming that each branch could discuss your account information only with the main offices, not share that information with other branches.

For example, if a branch manager was concerned about an application for a new account and the account holder having a history of overdrafts, that manager should call the head office to see what account information is available for that person. The manager does not call other branches to get that kind of information.

I guess I need to check my banks policies to see how it works.

If you are opening a new account at a bank, chances are they will not have any over-draft information on you from another bank. Now if you are trying to open a savings account, and you already have a checking account, then every branch will have that overdraft information. It is the computer age after all. Again, branches are part of the whole, not individual entities. Of course, when you go to open a new account at a new bank, they are going to ask for your Social Security Number so that they can see how bad your credit is. that won't necessarily give individual bank info from other banks, but it may. Keep in mind though, bank means a whole other body, and branch means another finger on the same hand.

My weirdest experience wasn't seeing a teller at a different branch of the same bank, which happens all the time for me.. My most ridiculous experience was seeing a teller that quit one local bank near me and got hired at another major bank about 15 miles away, only to realize that I was ordering from there too.. All I can say is her face was completely priceless when I walked through that door the first time....lol..

I go to so many banks i have lost tract of how many different tellers went to different branches or different banks sometimes counties away from each other. Since i have established myself as a low impact "coin" collector i have had no problems. All my problems have been from collectors who dont think pacing themselves is the right thing to do.

I have not ran into any problem with ordering or dumping coins at any branch i wish to chose, especially with BoA. Some of the tellers know i order from a different bank, when asked about it i just responded with i didn't want to task your branch too much with large orders so i run around and pick up smaller ones. The Vault manager seemed very receptive to this and even thanked me for the thought then she even offered to up my order if i wanted too, said it was no trouble to her at all. She even explained to me that the boxes i get is no extra cost to them because they already make the order, it just gets thrown on the truck and comes with it. I do need to find some more Loomis using banks to dump coins at though, hate pee'ing in my own pool =(
