Got out today for a little bit before the much needed rain comes.
I feel like I am digging in the desert!
Was about to get a few buttons and a couple of silver. Also this brass handle looking thing. It almost looks familiar. Lol andy help would be great. Thanks for looking,

I think your mystery item is a terret.

The other item, with two holes, is a piece from an early 1800s saddle.

Twas a really neat piece none the less... Interesting and painted many mental pics of possibilities.

I just decided that it had to be some form of hook... just a new type to me.
