Those are good finds for most George. Like Baspinall, I first thought reins guide when I saw the brass, but I can't find a matching pic.

Vino... any way to get a pic of "end" of your handle ?
This appears to be bronze or gun metal...
I personally don't think it is from a candle holder...
They were made from mostly tin and brass...

At first glance I thought it was a broken crossbow trigger but I am leaning away from that due to the way it would be held.

Whatever it went to it held some weight and was a "though" bolt by the looks... but I need to see that end...
If squared or tapered "bolt"...

Tis a mystery piece for sure.
Could even be from a bedside oil lamp or something of the likes.

Good finds btw.

Nice hunt Vino. Lots of cool buttons, two fatties, and three silvers. Very well done.

Today is the 7th rainy day in a row here... you ought to see some rain soon.

Best of luck to you brother!

Congratz! Very nice finds including silver! I think the object is a giant deformed pull tab.

Thanks Qaela, lol.

Welp... now I have a headache :P
Herh...
Um I can say this so far... It is rare... really rare...
And I think it may be some form of "pull"...
It was designed not to "twist" by the squared tang...

Vino is it "sheared" off ? can you tell ?... any way for a clear close-up macro shot of that tang part ?

I have searched though PILES of info... I mean a ton and a half of crapola... nothing close...
Everything from knuckle knives and picks... to Chimney flue handles... and everything in between.

This is a coolio piece... I will not stop on it... just need a break and kick back for a bit... Tis helps me... "envision" sometimes :)

Thanks Arrc.
You are funny, here is a better shot of the end.. Dont think its sheared off.

Nice little hunt there George. When I first saw the mystery object, I thought reins guide like basphinal. But when I saw the later pictures you posted, I ruled that out. Now I'm not sure what you have there.

Nice finds Vino! Love the Indians.

Could it be part of a fireplace tool set (poker, shovel etc)

George great finds....but that coppa heart you found...I found the same exact one literally exact at an old ghost town up here...you know anything about it bc i sure dont!?

IT IS... A broken off and bent "jamb hook"...
