WWII veterans and Korean War vets didn't think much of Eleanor. Stuck her nose where she shouldn't have. Admiral Halsey wouldn't let her ride on the flag ship. She was not well liked, and that comes from several sailors and a couple of marines I talked to 10 years after the big war, and just a short time after Korea.

My father was a veteran of both those wars, btw. Though we never had the "Eleanor Roosevelt" talk. :laughing7:
