I want to make a shadow box reflecting my service in the US Army. I want it to contain all of my unit patches, ribbons, medals, and badges. But, I don't want to use my originals. I'll probably use my original name tags because I have several of those. Anybody know where I can buy replacements at a reasonable price? USA made only of course. Thanks.

Relic, Is your avatar the Sensei that started Aikido? Curious. ╦╦Ç

Thanks. I looked at that site. They have a shadow box builder. It would be nice to give one as a gift. But,I think I'll have to use my old medals, patches and awards cause I'm too cheap to spend that kind of money on myself.
Save your nickels and dimes and buy the ribbons/medals. You will be glad years from now that you did.... and your next-of-kin will be glad too. Save the real deals for loved ones, not for show. ╦╦Ç

They Have a bunch on eBay Cheap

I ordered my replacement medals, awards and patches from vanguard. They had everything except one patch. 212th Field Artillery. I ordered it from another company. When all of these arrive, I'll decide the size for my shadow box.
I also went to https://www.archives.gov/veterans/military-service-records and ordered another copy of my DD-214. I requested copy's of all awards, certificate of achievements, orders, etc. I don't know if they will send any of those.

A couple years ago my elder daughter had a display made for me and her siblings:

Some of the patches and medals are very difficult, and expensive to find today. The fellow who put this together had to make the Spec 6 patches from Spec 5 patches.

Here's a display I put together for my late uncle. WW2, Anzio POW. Civilian employee of the Army after the war and up into the 90's. Almost all of what you see was purchased on ebay. A few original medals and original POW tag. I assembled the ribbon and medal bars. Gary
