We have to be careful about talking to the media as we are telling of the fun we are having and they twist things that make us look like vultures waiting in a tree waiting for someone to drop something.

You tell them about the nice belt buckle you found and turns out you are talking to an archaeologist with thoughts of outlawing our hobby totally in another state. Even if he isn't a archae, the news will be read by them to act on. That could be why they want your real name and location.

Or You could tell them were public servants and that we are keeping the public beaches clean and tidy of all the garbage that the public leaves behind ,,Like there empty beer bottles , beer and soda cans , cig buts orange peels, I could on and on, OH ,I forgot to mention the guy that just lost his car keys and asks one of us to help him find them , or his Rolex watch, and his wife's diamond ring.. I wish they would call me for an interview .That's the story they would get from me ..Guzz1
