Finally got to go and detect a site I found via some research. It was a Pre-1900's era reunion site and picnic area!!!! I Took a friend of mine from my Metal Detecting club (Southern Illinois Treasure Hunters) anyway, I found a total of 6 Indian head Pennies, one toasted shield nickel, a brass wedding ring, a 1893 Barber dime, and a super nice 1891 Seated Liberty Dime!!!! My buddy found 7 indian head pennies and a nice 1887 Seated Liberty Dime. here are the pics thought you guys might enjoy them.

Thats fantastic I hit a untouched pre 1900 to 1930 park once it lasted about 3 days until I was asked to leave so the owner could buy a detector and find the rest. I had a blast, like I'm sure your having. Best of luck to you.

Awesome finds! I have a similar site I've been trying to nail down a location on. Your post is good inspiration to drag out the maps again.
