I thought the broom handle may be a telegraph peg? Was asking about it and the small brass item
Thanks

If your "broom handle" is small, it might be the end of a rifle cleaning rod. Providing the size always helps.

If about 1" in diameter, broom handle or the end of an earlier (late 20th century) extension pole. Yours looks like cast white metal. I currently have a couple and light bulb removers and such screw onto the end to reach high places. The brass item is absolutely an antique watch winder. That could easily be Civil War period.

Early attempt at a wooden light bulb?

It didn't work. :(

Yes, it's definitely a worn out extension pole. I have one just like it in fiberglass.

My heavy shop brooms have screw in handles like that. The winder and bullets are good finds!!

it is a universal thread used for many years, on many items
go to the kitchen and see if the handle unscrews from your broom if it does
it will be the same thread, paint rollers have that thread on the inside of the handle
along with many other tools.
