Follow-up hunt TODAY with my Simplex+ at the SW Georgia High School and found 49 1/2-quarters, 9-dimes, 1-nickle and 5-pennies for a total of 64 coins all clad with a $ total of $13.20. Still had access to the unhunted areas that I hunted last weekend and was surprised by the number of quarters I'm still finding:icon_thumright:, but as you can see with the exception of a few recent drops they have been in the ground a long time - Thanks for looking - and GOOD LUCK everyone & HH..........BILL

i used to hit a high school field that was like that ...loaded with quarters
they would remove the bleachers after football and had a stand there where everything for sale used to be like a $1.25
chips, soda, etc.
so people would have lots of quarters - i would hit old areas near by and swing by there after and set my machine for quarter range
only and pluck one after another for gas money - easily pick up a 40 or more - think one time i got over 70 in a short time

Hey, CASPER - Thanks for the comment - I have always liked schools of all kinds and I have found a lot of "good old" coins in even the old 1-room schools that I remember starting in the First Grade in one of them in a very small town in Illinois back in 1948 when I was 6 years old. And I even remember finding TWO Silver Dollars in one outing at an old school in Sandwich, Illinois - One Morgan & one Peace dollar in 1973 - It was easy to reach "bucket lists" back then - lol.

For your pleasure and others here is a hunt where I found 81 quarters in one outing - below - ...... BILL:

NOTE: Original date of posting below was - Jul 01, 2016
My highest $ average of $.2197 cents average per coin of 99 total coins found today

Found a Georgia Elementary School today that I have never searched, and it was obvious that no one else had searched either. With the aid of my New White's TRX pinpointer that I recently won on "The Silverslingers" I found a record one day total of 81 clad quarters, plus 15 clad dimes, and 3 memorial "copper" cents for a total of 99 coins for a total face value of $21.75......and when divided by 99 coins found is a career $ average high for me, per target of $.2197........which is almost 22 cents per coin.......When I find an unsearched location like this, and was a 30 mile one way trip from home......I will use my 1st Stage method of recovery running in VDI of 70-99 and rejecting the cents and everything else below 70, not knowing when I would be back.......in order to get maximum $ average per coin found on my 1st trip.....In addition I also found 2 Silver .925 rings which I posted a picture of them and all the coins I found below. The 2 sterling rings were 20 grams in weight, and with silver closing today at $18.80 per ounce makes their melt value $11.18......so my total was $32.93 in value today.

P.S. I was using my White's MX5 and TRX Pinpointer today.

Thanks for looking and HAPPY HUNTING

Congrats again, Bill.
That 1-bit coin looks too well-cut to have been randomly struck by a lawnmower. I don't remember seeing a cut clad quarter before, but somehow, I will refrain from submitting this rare find for banner...
Pics can be deceiving - that 6th quarter in the second row looks like silver at first glance.

Hey, RPM55 - Thanks for the comment - That coin is a 1990 and was a recent drop laying on top the ground ---But you made a good point, that I guess it is possible to find a SILVER coin laying on top the ground at some point of someone dropping one from a "lucky pocket silver coin" to one being given an old silver coin.

Have any of you out there found a SILVER coin laying on the surface recently?? ........BILL

I had this exact scenario. Found this lucky pocket Morgan on the surface by a modern softball field. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1580776063.956022.jpg

Nice finds. Thanks for the invite. I’ll be working on my page as I go.

WELCOME to TreasureNet, and your FIRST posting. I have enjoyed your videos of your finds in JAPAN and searching for those 100 yen & 500 yen coins, with the value of the 100 yen being about $1 USD and the 500 yen is almost a $5 bill USD - I just wish we were using the US $1 coins more (and of course dropping them:laughing7:) and using in addition $2 & $5 coins like Canada & the Euro etc. - GOOD LUCK & Happy Hunting, my friend ....... BILL
