Hey guys,
With the rain still coming down and the coastline under water I decided to revisit some older finds from this year. When sorting the finds from Gheenoe78 and I's 3rd/19th/23rd Regiment of Foot camp I took a fresh look at a particular pewter cuff. Like most British cuffs, it is pewter, 12mm, and wrapped in a decorative rope around the edge...or so I thought. While rubbing my finger over the top to remove a thin layer of dust a noticed a yellow tint, additional cleaning revealed a yellow blown glass bead with a cross etching in the top
Never seen one like it- anyone have any information on age/origin of this cuff. Perhaps earlier Spanish colonial or could it still be associated with the Brits?
Thanks for the help
