Dug these yesterday and thought they looked like parts to a rifle. Am I correct?
Made of cast brass. The one piece looks like a ramrod channel.

The bottom picture is a ramrod "pipe" for a full stock muzzleloader, the small hole is where it was pinned to the stock.
The first two pieces look to be parts from a slide action shot gun but look to brass, may be parts from a henry yellow boy rifle.
Are the two to pieces brass or steel?

You may be onto something. Which parts in the diagram below (M1866 Yellow Boy) do you think these are?

I don't see either of the two pieces in your diagram BB.
They may be shotgun pieces.

The bottom part you are holding in your hand,,, in the first picture,,looks pretty close to part # 90, the part that keeps the next cartridge inside the magazine while you are closing the lever to load the previous cartridge. After firing, that part will keep the next shell in the magazine untill you eject the fired cartridge fully. At the bottom of the stroke it releases the next cartridge, and then stops the next round.

None of the mechanical workings of a firearm are going to be made out of brass. While the frame of the yellow boy is brass, all internal parts are steel or iron. I think only the ramrod pipe is gun related.

The lifting block part #7 is brass, and also on the early Win. 1873, same part is brass,,,,,

You are right, I stand corrected. The carrier block, which guides the cartridge on loading is brass. These pieces don't resemble carrier blocks however. I just cant see them being firearm parts.

I think the frame and loading gate was brass and the internal parts were steel, is what I think. :D

They may not be gun parts, after having several lever action apart for cleaning and servicing in the past the part struck me as the cartridge block. and the part looks like # 90 in the exploded view. All i have now is a marlin 1895 so wrong style of block to pull out to photo,,, it was fun thinking I knew something after. 30+ yrs playing with em. Have no idea what the top piece he is holding so I will quit guessing.
Any way got to pack for a trip, tired of sitting here looking at all the cool stuff being found, going to the desert to try my new Lobo Supertraq. Good lucck HillBilly.
