Had 5 hours at the beach Sunday. One mile of nothing then everything in a 50 foot wide area where there was a steep double cut.
Found about $5.00 worth of green quarters and dimes, late 80's.
The ring is marked 1 Thes 4:3:4 and has a cross on each side. It has no markings inside and is not magnetic.
I am a bit stumped as to what it is made of. Feels lighter than gold, heavier than aluminum, and is silver-ish.
The odd coin I thought was a nickel looks to be from India or thereabouts. Can anyone ID it?

Thanks for looking,
Tek

Any ring is a good ring but it looks stainless

For sure Thailand and a stainless purity ring. Cool beach finds

Capnbear and Baywalker, you are correct, stainless. When put on a strong neodymium magnet it held. The weaker magnet did not hold.
Thanks, I learned something today. Will test everything with the Neo from now on.

Interesting coin, most of the Thai Bhat coins have some verbiage near the knurling based on what I am seeing online, this one doesn't (could be rare). Cool find. The ring is awesome, just be careful not to put that on lol. Thanks for sharing.

Anduril, thanks so much for that positive ID and link to the coin forum. Did not even know it was upside down.

I wouldn't know either. :laughing7: (Upside down coin)
I tried to learn to speak Thai once. Gave it up completely after about 5 weeks of really seriously trying.
I simply could not get the hang of it. That language has sounds that human beings are just not designed to produce. Ha!!

Also, (to me) all their words seems to be spelled using only the letters u, v, w, m, and n.
It's like one long squiggle !! nmnmvuwnwmuv for example.

I think this is a language you really have to learn while you're still young; while you still have a brain that's able to absorb it.
