I had posted some finds from a spring that I found the other day, but didn't even bother with this ring, because I thought it was junk.

When I was putting my stuff away, I was going to toss it in my pile of junk jewelry when I noticed the edge of the ring. It is very rough, sort of like it was cut with a pipe cutter, but the ridge is on the outside, not the inside.

I ran it through the ultrasonic cleaner a few times and got some of the mineral build up off it. I then noticed that the ring doesn't appear to be an even thickness, it could be an optical illusion, I don't have calipers to prove it.

I ran it through the ultrasonic a few more times, looks like this is as good as it gets without some serious effort. I am wondering if anyone might believe this to be something with some age to it. In other words, it looks like something made by hand, not a great one at that. Does anything think it could be antique? There are no markings inside the ring that I can see.
