Went out last night and this morning....got a few good finds. I'm still searching for the "nectar sector" of coins, lots of personal finds but no coins. Warning the videos have some swears in them...but they're funny.

You did very well, congratulations! :occasion14:

Nice finds! Looks like you may have a "Fur Trade" era tinkler there!

Hi, nice hunt with some nice finds. Congrats:icon_thumleft:

Nice assortment of finds. Congrats. I like the buckle.

Nice finds!
Just wanted to say in case you didn't know that the iron cone (3rd picture) is an important fur trade tool that doesn't get any limelight.
It's known as a "pole setting tip" which would go on the end of a long wooden pole and was used by the voyageurs to navigate through rapids or difficult waterways.
The photo below the flat button looks like a spear point made from a butt plate off a musket gun. Of course the last picture is a button from a saw handle.
Does the silver ring have any markings? It's probably fairly old too.
Don't worry about coins.....I'd rather find fur trade artifacts!

Thanks....I knew it was a pole ended thing, that's the second one I've found, seems to be fairly rare. The silver ring doesn't have any markings, it seems to have some reeded or filed parts around it possibly for decoration or it was a coin? I wish I knew more about it....it's a cool find. I like fur trade artifacts but I'd love to see a date on something! THanks again.
