Road Trip Blues

Well folks, I set off this morning to hit up a town about thirty minutes away in search of halves. I probably went to about 25 banks in total. The good news...only two refused to sell me anything since I did not have an account with them. The bad news...only ONE bank had any halves, and it was only $5 worth. I did manage to get a very nice 2004 clad proof out of those though.

I always ask for a few rolls of dimes in addition to halves, so I've got about $400 in dimes to go through which will hopefully produce something. I think my road trippin days are over for a while though...much easier to stick with boxes.

UPDATE: The dimes produced 2 silver Roosies...at least the day wasn't a total loss!

I always ask for CWR Dimes on road trips, then I search and dump on the run.

Gas is $4 a gallon here, so I'm only road tripping at banks that are on my way.

You have to incorporate dimes into the mix or else you could just go home empty handed with expensive gas used. All trips I've made, banks just don't seem to have halves which makes it not worth it.
