Road Trip Blues

Since I had nothing to do today I thought I would try my luck again at a road trip. Now I remember why I stick to boxes. Probably hit about 20 banks and only 2 had any half dollars, for a grand total of 23 halves. Only good thing was one of those was a 1968-d, so I didn't walk away empty handed, but still doesn't even come close to paying for the gas. I always pick up a few rolls of dimes at each stop so it's not a total waste, so I can only hope they produce something. Anybody else find it this difficult to find halves?

*Update*: $280 in mostly cwr dimes gave up one 1964. About the same box average for me.

It happens this way until you hit the bank where somebody just deposited tons of silver coins.

Last saturday I went to 11 banks. I found one walker at the last bank but many of the banks
did not have halfs or just a couple of worthless clad halfs.
