LOL! WB, "tat"; yes, it WAS the Civil War, which was NOT "civil"; it was called MANY things, such as War Of Southern Independence; War Between The States; etc. Dunno about Charles Morriss; what cha got?

Robert Morriss allegedly died at a house on Roslyn St., here in Lynchburg, Va. I have found that very small street, but NOT the house; it IS EAST and ABOVE the old Tobacco Warehouse District (EAST of 12th Street). The old tobacco warehouses were utilized as hospitals during the CONFEDERATE WAR; ONE of those old buildings recently collapsed & the old bricks were "going" at @ $50.00 "a pop" for ppl "into CW history"... LOL! Tobacco "King" at THAT time (CW). was an OTEY (John M.?), who had a daughter, named Mollie... MAY also be "connected" to Norvell-Otey House, a Bed & Breakfast "place" in Lynchburg, Va. $$$$$$$$!

1863, the year, Robert Morriss died; INTERESTING times... "google" 1863 - Lynchburg, Va.

HOWEVER! BEALE PAPER(S) stated... "It was in 1862, the second year of the CONFEDERATE WAR, that Mr. Morriss first intimated the possession of a SECRET..." BUT! CW was from 1861-1865... SO! SECOND year of CW... 1863! What?!!!

1862 was IN the 2nd year of the War. '61 was the first year of it, and '62 was the 2nd year of it. Morris obviously told his secret a year before his death.

1862 or 1863?... "affairs of importance required (the author's presence) in Richmond (Va.), and prevented further communication between us (R. Morriss & the author) until after my return...". WHAT would Ferdinand Charles Hutter be doing in Richmond? MORE R & I to do... LATER!

FC HUTTER was Capt. in the War Dept. of the Confederate Gov't; PAYROLL Dept. Signed first check for Gen. Robert E, Lee? After the CW, worked for IR L'burg, Va. (COLLECTOR - Internal Revenue, 12th District of Penn. 1873-1876). HA!

IDK Charles popped up in Va with some things I was reading. Was wondering if some of the local Liberty Va people knew of him.

YEP! STRONG possibility... he was a LAWYER!

AND ALSO! Robert MORRISS could have been just a "actor" that "died out" in JB Ward's home, no longer needed in the CONFEDERATE WAR "scenario" of the BEALE PAPERS. Gonna re-read the "BP"; STILL a "cover story" for REBEL "assets"...
MHO.

Let's "see"... JB Ward was the AGENT for the author of the BEALE PAPERS ("BP"); JB's COUSIN, FC Hutter (CSA) was the AUTHOR of the "BP". Robert MORRISS was just an "actor" (non-existent), who "put together" a story on the Beale Expedition (?!?) to "cover up" the REAL story of REBEL "assets" being buried WEST of Lynchburg, Va. (in the mountains) and POSSIBLY NORTHWEST and in SOUTH-side VIRGINIA. Looking at HISTORY... FORGETTING BC # 1 & BC # 3. MORE, later.

SO! Robert MORRISS is now NON-ESSENTIAL to the "Beale Treasure Story"... focus is on the Hutter Bros., cousins of JB Ward. Check out Descendants of Johann Ludwig Hutter, 1726; "google" it. Look at #20 Ferdinand Charles Hutter [10262] & # 23 Edward Sixtus Hutter [10022]. RAGLAND family "info"; Attorney H.M. Gibbs; SECRET Book of the Confederacy... VATTEL'S LAW OF NATIONS; may be in FRENCH! To be continued "elsewhere"...

Interesting, while being careful of making laws (or any writings by force or wishes) fit, can see where succession defined and other comparable issues relate.
If reading it right, regarding "speci" (money) while warning against devaluation of it,suggestion made of after crisis calling it in and squaring value up with holders.
That would require a stockpile of a valuable material to base it on? (See forming currency in earlier chapter).
