In my search last week, I came across a whole roll of what appeared to be mint 2006 P halves. Was wondering if these were a special issue or collector issues only. Except for minor bag marks, the coins are pristine.

If they are in the original mint sealed blue coin wrap, then they will have a slight premium.

However if they are just good looking coins in a regular bank supplied wrapper than they don't have any value over face. Some people on this forum keep them because they weren't minted for circulation purposes, but technically no half dollar circulates anymore,a FEW casinos still use them in their slots, but besides that the only people who "circulate" them are CRH's.

If you can find a coin shop to pay you more than face for them(the mint sells them for $.65 each) then go ahead and keep them, otherwise throw them back with the rejects and use the cash to search more COINS!

Thanks for the advice
