Had a nice hot day with a couple of friends, they took me to a pounded out site. It was fun, nice company, good grilled meats, and a few targets
Got a nice roman coin, in good shape (need ID thanks)
A complete fibula/brooch, they tell me is from before the Romans, and my first complete one with pin
A roman needle folded
A tiny bronze ring
And some pieces of other two fibulas.

Thanks for looking and good hunts to all

Nice finds! What kind of meats did you grill?? :dontknow:

Well we had good fresh bacon, pig ribs, some chorizo sausage, and two bottles of good Spanish red wine, it's was memorable! Hahaha

Very nice day indeed! Good food and good finds. What kind of site was it? How do you supposed these were missed if the place was pounded? Just not gridding properly by the former detectorists? What country are you in again? I don't recognize the flag (although I probably should). Sorry for all of the questions, just interested.

Great finds Nu...the Brooch is a Iron-Age La Tène Brooch, dating to the 1st century BC - 1st century AD. I'll work on the Id of the coin, the reverse I haven't seen....good day.

:icon_thumright: Yes good ID.....I think its this one... Claudius II, AE Antoninianus, Cyzicus. DIVO CLAVDIO, radiate head right with one dot under head / CONSACRATIO, Flaming altar with horned roof. 4 panels on altar, dot in each panel.

Nice finds Nutriasub!

What great shape the coin and fibula broach are in, the soils are really kind.

nice fibula and ring! congrats

Very nice fibula! Looks like it is still a good field!

Thanks a lot for the I D on both items, that really is an old brooch! Thanks again!
Yes the fields are with very good soil, very lucky, my friend got a really nice gallienus, almost mint shape!
We worked the fields, which was huge for about 3:30 hours, three people, so actually 10:30 man hours, only to get two coins and two fibulas...so I think it's pretty hammered.
Thank you all!!

is very difficult to hunt a complete Roman fibula of transition Tene / Roman ... I mean IberoRoman ,wow what a mess! ... also good Antoninianus. ;-)

They may be just a few finds but they are quality ones! :icon_thumright:

The coin is nice, but the Fibula is fantastic! Congratulations.

Nice early fibula with the pin!

Good hunt.
